Predicting the 2015 NBA Playoffs: Conference Finals

Second Round Results: 2-2 (8-4)

Two Sundays ago, the Bulls were seconds away from forcing overtime in Game 4, an overtime period that I’m convinced they would’ve won to go up 3-1 on the Cavs. Now they’re at home after giving up in Game 6 and about to lose their best head coach since Phil Jackson. Seconds away. Final four time.

Uneducated Guesses About the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs: Conference Finals

Second Round Results: 4-0 (10-2)

I’ve been guessing these series pretty well, but I still don’t know enough for you to trust me. Final four time.

Eastern Conference

#1 New York Rangers v. #3 Tampa Bay Lightning – Rangers are hot now. Should beat Tampa Bay in 5.

Western Conference

#1 Anahiem Ducks v. #3 Chicago Blackhawks – This will be a slugfest. I have Chicago in 7 games, but I’m regretting this as I write only because I feel like I’m putting the failed hopes of the Bulls on their shoulders now. Don’t hate me Blackhawks fans. I just want the Chi to win in general. Unless it’s the Bears. Or the White Sox. Even I have a soft spot for the Cubs.

Hip-Hop Manifesto - Episode #12: Is Kanye West Crazy?

In this edition, Kelen and Matt take on a subject everyone has wondered: Is Kanye West crazy? Along the way, they discover that Kanye is a genius asshole, that Kelen really loves Roc-A-Fella, Matt muses what present day Kanye would think of 2005 Kanye, that Kanye says things like this, "I was raised better than that, that was very arrogant.", that Kanye is always a little more crazier at the MTV Video Music Awards, and much more! Also, 50 Cent is a genius, Amber Rose was hotter pregnant than Kim Kardashian was, how South Park is the king of "too soon", and why we don't listen to Talib Kweli anymore! So while we want Kanye to find happiness, we also want you to press play, and watch out for that stop sign!

Moves Like Curtis: The Podcast - Episode #5: He Should Eat A Bug Like Nicholas Cage Did (Guests: Paul Hermann & Kelen Conley)

Moves Like Curtis: Episode #5: He Should Eat A Bug Like Nicholas Cage Did

In this episode, Paul Hermann and Kelen Conley join Tom as they try to figure out where the 2013 New York Jets go from here... with the here being Tim Tebow. Kelen predicts that Greg McElroy will be the starting quarterback, Paul talks Tom off the ledge about John Idzik, Tom tears his team apart and Paul and Kelen convince him that the playoffs are still within reach, Macklemore could be the Jets new starting quarterback, Eric Mangini is a robot, Shonn Greene is compared to Chuck Austen's War Machine, and of course, the butt fumble is mentioned several times. It's an episode shared more than MetLife Stadium, don't you want to get your cleats on and come along?

Predicting the 2015 NBA Playoffs: Second Round

First Round Results: 6-2

I really don’t know how to go on with these playoffs after the series the Clippers and the Spurs just had. Instant classic. Of course, that’s what happens when the NBA gets uptight about its seeding and makes sure Division Champions have home court advantage. And like everyone else, Game 7 was way better than Mayweather/Pacquiao.

Uneducated Guesses About the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs: Second Round

First Round Results: 6-2

So maybe I’m just lucky. I knew picking the Senators was a long shot, but at least they mounted a comeback before the Canadiens finished them off. Did not see the Wild’s upset coming though. Good for them. Minnesota needs something to feel good about right now, aside from Andrew Wiggins winning Rookie of the Year (and only because Jabari got hurt. Parker was staking claim early before he tore his ACL).

Eastern Conference

#1 New York Rangers v. #4 Washington Capitals – Rangers in 7. And no, I don’t care that the Caps are currently up in the series.

#2 Montreal Canadiens v. #3 Tampa Bay Lightning – Lightning in 6. I really don’t think the Canadiens get swept. But the next two games are in Tampa…

Western Conference

#1 Anaheim Ducks v. #8 Calgary Flames – Ducks in 6. I think the Flames win Game 4 though.

#3 Chicago Blackhawks v. #6 Minnesota Wild– Blackhawks in 5. With the Blues out, the Rangers faltering, and the Kings at home, the Blackhawks have my vote as the next Stanley Cup Champions.
