Trike Adventures - #06: To Hit Someone... Over Too Many Pickles?!(Guest: Natasha Stark... Sparks... whatever)

Dick Sugar and the gang are back for more Trike Adventures! Among this episode's topics: punching a cashier over too many pickles, bad roommates, how much would it take to sell your sex tape, donuts getting used the wrong way, a lady grounds a plane with her singing, Thomas uses the word bitch with affection, we give Rebecca Crane a call, the undiscovered world of audio porn, ...more porn talk, favorite series finales/deaths, Thomas tries to take the word bitch back, and we bring it all to a close with a tv theme sing-a-long. Trike Adventures. Longer. Vulgar. Stronger!

So I Started Writing This... I Really Think March Hates Me

I've never liked March. I can't put my finger on why, I guess it's because when I was younger, I claimed bad things happened to me in March (or rather I would get in trouble and subsequently grounded). As I got older, I found myself dealing with a touch of seasonal depression in March; it's not quite winter (though it likes to pretend) and it's not quite spring (even though it will tease you relentlessly). In fact, other than it containing friends and family's various birth dates, I will never have reason to enjoy March.

If You're Into Podcasts: The Exploding Typewriter - Episode 018: TheWriting Process with Derrick Ferguson

I've mentioned Derrick more than a few times, so you know that I have great respect for that guy. What you don't know is I also have great respect for Percival Constantine. I met him when I first got into fanfiction, and he, like myself, started his own site, Marvel 2000. Unlike me, he was a great writer from the start.

Since then, he's branched into writing actual books (which you can find on his website), and when he's not doing his day job or writing for sites like WhatCulture, he's a podcaster too! A few months back, he and Derrick sat down for his podcast The Exploding Typewriter and I finally got to listen to the show. And it's not just good, it's great. So great that I'm going to make sure I listen to the rest of the episodes.

The sad thing is that, due to what Perry thought to be a lack of interest, the podcast has ended. So if you check this out, go on iTunes and leave the show a review. Make him come back to this show, so that I can be on it whe…

Predicting the 2015 NBA Playoffs: First Round

Deadlines are a bitch. I actually had something to say about each of these series as the NBA has been my favorite professional sports league since I was 8 or 9. But my daughter’s first birthday party is today and I have family coming in town and I’m trying to get my verses remembered for MeuwlFest tonight… so you just get picks for now. I’m sorry! I’ll try to do better next time.Eastern Conference#1 Atlanta Hawks v. #8 Brooklyn Nets – Hawks in 4.
#2 Cleveland Cavaliers v. #7 Boston Celtics – Cavs in 5.
#3 Chicago Bulls v. #6 Milwaukee Bucks – Bulls in 7 (after Rose gets hurt again and can’t play the rest of the playoffs. And yes, I’m a Bulls fan).
#4 Toronto Raptors v. #5 Washington Wizards – Raptors in 7.Western Conference#1 Golden State Warriors. v. #8 New Orleans Pelicans – Warriors in 6.
#2 Houston Rockets v. #7 Dallas Mavericks – Rockets in 5.

Uneducated Guesses About the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs: First Round

I’ve been to one live NHL game. I’ve never played hockey or attempted to ice skate. I loved The Mighty Ducks 1 & 2. I had an NHL game for my Game Gear that I was pretty good at and I was pretty decent with the Bruins on NHL ’06. I don’t know what icing or offsides means. I got pretty pumped about the zamboni in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago. If I had to name some of my favorite players to watch as a kid, I’d say Lemieux, Jagr, Sakic, and Modano. I was too young to truly appreciate Gretzky. I hated the Red Wings when I was younger and I think Eric Lindros is overrated. So with that knowledge, time to pick some winners for the Stanley Cup Playoffs! *Eastern Conference#1 New York Rangers v. # #8 Pittsburgh Penguins – Rangers in 5.
#2 Montreal Canadiens v. #7 Ottawa Senators – Senators in 6.
#3 Tampa Bay Lightning v. #6 Detroit Red Wings – Lightning in 4.
#4 Washington Capitals v. #5 New York Islanders – Capitals in 6.Western Conference#1 Anaheim Ducks v. #7 Winnipeg Jets – Ducks in 4.

An Evening With “KING DAVID”: D-Why Returns To 123 Pleasant Street

Originally posted: https://tricycleoffense.wordpress.com/2012/11/08/an-evening-with-king-david-d-why-returns-to-123-pleasant-street/

I should have written this article days after this event but I didn’t. Some may call it pure laziness but I have to call it something else.

The night of August 25th meant something to me.

In my previous article, I chronicled how D-Why and I had met and his rise leading up to the release of his mixtape Don’t Flatter Yourself.[1. It’s good. You’re crazy if you don’t give it a listen. It’s not your average hip-hop either. D does whatever he wants on the project and he does it well.] Now from those beginnings, imagine you’re on your way to meet this guy who’s blowing up nationwide. You would expect a certain change to take place once the notoriety begins. D had agreed to do an interview with me on Twitter but I got no response to my phone call the day of the show. Figuring he was just extremely busy, I assumed the interview wasn’t going to happen. Nevertheless,…
