Merry Christmas!

I'll be jumping off the internet as much as possible until December 26. Everyone have a safe and awesome Christmas!

GET OUT OF MY HEAD: Luther Vandross - Oh Come All Ye Faithful

This is a beautiful rendition by Luther, it really is. But as I write this, I'm on my 50th listen of this song at work since the beginning of December. GET OUT OF MY HEAD LUTHER.

Song Of The Moment: 50 Cent - What Up Gangsta

Sometimes, the mood strikes to Get Rich Or Die Tryin'.

Songs I Shouldn't Love: Danity Kane - Showstopper

This was on Angel's radio when she left this morning. I used to play the living daylights out of this on the Urban Diner back in 2006. No shame.

It Came From YouTube: The Miz after winning WWE Championship (Backstage)

I was a fan of The Miz's WWE Championship run more than I should be. Here he is being congratulated backstage after he cashed in on Randy Orton in 2010.

A Letter from The T-Shirt Kings

The T-Shirt Kings are an up and coming (you guessed it) t-shirt company ran by Errick Greenlee and Ray Ortiz. I bought a few of their prototypes and while I can't wear them until Christmas, here is the awesome letter they included with the shirts.

Check out their work on their site, http://thetshirtkings.tumblr.com.

DOPE: WVU Basketball Coach Bob Huggins Blasts Dan D'Antoni & MarshallBasketball

As someone who hates any game WVU plays against Marshall, I agree 110%.

West Virginia basketball coach Bob Huggins has never shown much affinity for the annual Capital City Classic against Marshall University in Charleston, but it's always something he's seemed willing to bear without much complaint. There's the wry comment sprinkled in here and there that let's you know he feels the game is beneath him and his program, but he's always accepted it as a necessary evil.
Not anymore.

Bendis Explosion!

I mentioned that I was a Brian Michael Bendis fan and Evan gave me a ton of early Bendis comics that I had been dying to read and threw in a Gaiman HC graphic novel to boot! My first time doing Reddit Secret Santa and he hit a grand slam!

Talking Out The Dead: “Crossed”

Song Of The Moment: Cam Wilson - Refresh

Aaliyah and I were listening to all kinds of music last night. You reap the benefits.

Talking Out The Dead: “Consumed”

Thomas Crawford: So, Daryl and Carol go on a road trip, they track down the vehicle that took Beth, get some alone time together, and meet Noah.  Sounds like it should be a pretty good ride right?  I have to admit, I do have some problems with this episode.  I’m not saying it was bad, I’m just saying it felt strained, even for a world dominated by the walking dead.

DOPE: The 2014 Hater's Guide To The Williams-Sonoma Catalog

H/T to Heather Carrico.

Copy: "Restaurant-quality beef cuts from Double R Ranch Co. Four 7-oz. filet mignons, four 16-oz. porterhouse steak and four 12-oz. ribeye steaks."

Drew Says: Twelve steaks. That's it. I could go to a restaurant and order 12 steaks, and it would still be less expensive than the 12 raw ones that this catalog claims will last me three whole months. Twelve steaks = ONE cookout. This ain't three months of shit. If someone built me a fallout shelter and told me there was three months' worth of steaks inside, and I went in to find only 12 steaks, I would push that person out of my shelter and let them be exposed to the incoming hydrogen flame blast. Cut the price in half, send me 90 steaks, and then we'll chat. For now, enjoy battling the mutant zombies on your own. Jerk.

Talking Out The Dead: "Self Help"

Kelen Conley: I don’t even know where to begin with this episode. I guess the best place to begin is to start crap with Thomas.

DOPE: Don't Compromise, Notarize!

Your Tuesday afternoon reminder to laugh your ass off when you need to do it.

Song Of The Moment: T.I. - New National Anthem (Feat. Skylar Gray)

On my second listen of Paperwork and this track is full of truth.

DOPE: Chris Rock on Ferguson, Cosby, and Obama

The last time Frank Rich had a conversation with Chris Rock was in early 1996, when they and the 1950s teen heartthrob Pat Boone were thrown together in a New York television studio as panelists on Bill Maher’s old show Politically Incorrect. This time they had two conversations in a New York hotel lounge as Rock prepared for the release of Top Five, a bittersweet film comedy in which he does triple duty as director, screenwriter, and star.

We’ve just come through an election that was a triumph for Fox News and a fiasco for Obama. What do you make of it?

Jon Stewart has said the reason Fox News works better than CNN is because the people at Fox News figured out how to make themselves into victims.
